Savannah has been dreaming of this day for an entire year! It is finally here.
Savannah decided at the end of last years Relay For Life walk in Port Washington she was going to be more involved this year. She decided she would put together some sugar cookies and her and a friend Amanda would sell them. Of course all donations would go to the Relay For Life.
The adventure began this past weekend when she started to prepare all the cookies needed to sell door to door in Black Earth, and at dad's work. How exciting this has been for her.
The girls made a chart that had a goal set of $125.00, and they are rather excited to see how this goes. I know what she has earned so far...but I am not allowed to share that till the walk is over per the leaders orders ;-)
The first night out walking they stopped at a little old ladies house. She invited them in for something cool to drink while she found her money. Savannah and Amanda decided when they left that they should visit her more often just to chat, she seemed lonely. Then they stopped at another womans home who said she could not buy any cookies because she was on a diet, but she donated $5.00 anyway. It is neat for the girls to experience generosity first hand!!
We are leaving for the walk in about 2 hours, and the girls could not be any more excited. I will post updated pictures and blog information when we return!!
